- I have a Cardnial V.34/V.FC 28.8 modem on a Pentium 100 Win95 System that has
- been acting up recently...
-
- The problem arises when I try to connect to my ISP using Win95 dial-up
- software. 65% of the time, I get a "no response" error, where I need to
- turn-off the modem, then turn it back on and re-try; it then usually works
- after that.
-
- Other times, the modem picks-up, I get a dial tone, but it never dials.
- Eventually, the operator comes on and says to "try again"...
-
- But sometimes, it does work, however. So its not a "consistant" problem. Is
- this a problem in my init string? (I've used, "ATZ", "AT&F1", and none, all
- with the same effects.) My DOS termianl apps seem to work fine.
-
- Any solutions?
-
- Thanks,
